International Union of Organizations of People with Limited Abilities invites you to participate in the International Forum on the theme:

"However, to improve the quality of life through the effective application of Articles 4, 29, 32, 33 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the experience and the results of accession to the Convention."
           The Forum program is attached.
Forum will be held from 1 to 5 October 2015 in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia.
            The forum is held within the project "The ability to access and barrier-free cooperation of people with disabilities - the path to a decent life and social participation in the Eastern Partnership, Russia, CIS, and Germany through understanding and cooperation."

- Coalition of Persons with Disabilities of Georgia "For independent life";

- German Foundation "West-Eastern Meetings";

The international forum is held in partnership with the General Union of people with disabilities in Germany "for self-determination and dignity»  ABiD e.V.

 

The project is supported and funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.

 

The purpose of the International Forum:
1. The activity of non-governmental organizations of people with disabilities on the implementation of the UN Convention "On the Rights of Persons with Disabilities" in the regions of Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, in cooperation with public authorities post-Soviet countries, local governments at all levels (regions, cities, municipalities, villages and settlements), international partners, with the obligatory participation of people with disabilities in these processes through the effective application of articles 4,29, 32 and 33 of the Convention.

2. Exchange of experiences participants of the forum of experts on the achievements reached in the post-Soviet countries as a result of their accession to the UN Convention "On the Rights of Persons with Disabilities", the identification of good practices in this area.
 

The Forum will focus on the dynamics of the implementation of the Convention in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and other post-Soviet countries and the European Union, further cooperation between non-governmental organizations, the Federal Republic of Germany and the International Union of Organizations of People with Limited Abilit, will feature case reports, there will be discussions and exchange of experiences.
            The Forum will be attended by leaders of non-governmental organizations of people with disabilities at the national level of the Commonwealth of Independent States and other post-Soviet countries, the General Union of People with Disabilities in Germany "for self-determination and dignity» ABiD eV, the German Foundation "East-West meetings" and representatives of state authorities of the Republic of Georgia.
             We are grateful for the contribution that the Federal Republic of Germany contributes to the establishment and development of cooperation between non-governmental organizations of people with limited abilities.
